About this job

The Roads Fund Board is Government Institution under the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication established by the ROad and Fuel Tolls Act, CAP 220. The Board invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies.
Senior Planning and Monitoring Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities

To facilitate the preparation of performance agreement between the Road Fund Board and the implementing Agencies
To review progress reports from implementing agencies assess their compliance with performance agreements
To conduct monitoring of the implementation of road works by the agencies
To facilitate the preparation and implementation of the strategic plan;
To review annual operational plan, budget and action plan for implementing Agencies and advice accordingly;
To facilitate the preparation annual, quarterly and monthly reports of Roads Fund Board;
To coordinate and carry out specified routine technical tasks which require a higher degree of technical knowledge and skills
To participate in review and recommendation on allocation formula of a fund to implementing agency to undertake roads management at a level that is sustainable and affordable
Follow-up implementation of monitoring findings to the implementing agencies;
To prepare monitoring plan and budget;
To participate in reviewing design, contract documents and progress report for donor-funded projects;
To perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience
A holder of Master’s Degree (MSc) in Civil/ Highway Engineering or related field from a recognized institution and registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as Professional Engineer and must have a working experience as an Engineer for at least six years.

Terms of Engagement
