Structural Engineer – Petrol Station Project
INDUSTRY: LOGISTICS
LOCATION: Morogoro, Tanzania
HR World Ltd on behalf of our client, we are looking for a Structural Engineer who will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supervising the structural elements of a petrol station project, including a two-storey building, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with engineering standards.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop structural plans for the petrol station and two-storey building in accordance with relevant codes and regulations
Conduct structural analysis to ensure safety, stability, and durability of the construction
Review and approve technical drawings and blueprints prepared by CAD technicians and architects
Inspect construction materials and workmanship to ensure quality compliance
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design requirements
Supervise structural aspects of the construction process and provide on-site engineering support
Prepare detailed reports, calculations, and technical documentation for project records
Identify and resolve any structural issues during construction to avoid delays and safety risks
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental guidelines throughout the project
Manage timelines and budgets related to structural works
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure smooth execution
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field
Registered Professional Engineer (ERB) certification (mandatory)
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in structural design and supervision, preferably in petrol station or commercial building projects
Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS)
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction best practices
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong communication and coordination skills
