HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a Tyre Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing tyre operations for heavy trucks and trailers, ensuring safety, optimal performance, cost control, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on daily monitoring, inspections, documentation, inventory management, and preparation of monthly tyre consumption reports to enhance fleet efficiency.

Responsibilities

Monitor tyre condition of all heavy trucks and trailers on a daily basis.
Check tyre pressure, tread depth, alignment, and wear patterns.
Ensure proper tyre rotation and matching in accordance with axle load requirements.
Monitor tyre performance under varying load and route conditions.
Conduct routine yard and on-road tyre inspections.
Identify cuts, bulges, uneven wear, sidewall damage, and tread separation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards for heavy commercial vehicles.
Immediately report unsafe tyre conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate tyre repairs, replacements, and retreading activities.
Supervise proper tyre fitment and removal procedures.
Monitor scrap tyres and ensure correct disposal procedures.
Control tyre stock levels and prevent misuse or pilferage.
Maintain detailed tyre history records for each truck and trailer.
Record tyre serial numbers, positions, kilometer readings, and movement.
Maintain updated tyre inventory and stock registers.
Prepare monthly tyre consumption and cost reports.
Analyse tyre lifespan (cost per kilometer) and performance trends.
Identify abnormal or excessive wear patterns and recommend preventive measures.
Provide management with actionable insights to reduce tyre-related operational costs.
Report directly to the Workshop Manager and support fleet operational objectives.


Qualifications

Engineering Diploma / Technical Certification (preferred).
Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in heavy truck and trailer tyre management within the same industry.
Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle tyre specifications and safety standards.
Proven analytical, reporting, and supervisory skills.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and operational records.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
