Geotechnical Technician Position at Sotta Mining Corporation LimitedJob OverviewThe Geotechnical Technician will be responsible for collecting vital geotechnical data, managing monitoring systems, and providing essential support for field investigations and projects.Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesMaintain and monitor geotechnical systems, including prisms, radars, piezometers, and extensometers.Collect and accurately record geotechnical data to ensure safe mining operations.Assist with drilling supervision, mapping, logging, and sampling activities.Support the installation and ongoing maintenance of geotechnical monitoring equipment.Proactively identify and report potential geotechnical hazards, such as slope instability and rockfalls.Conduct regular pit inspections and champion safe work practices.Coordinate effectively with mining, safety, engineering, and contractor teams.Assist in conducting drone surveys and collecting geotechnical data as required.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in mining, mineral exploration, or civil engineering.Possess a Diploma or a relevant qualification as determined by HR.Hold a valid driving license.Previous experience with geotechnical monitoring, core logging, or mapping is considered an added advantage.Application InstructionsInterested candidates are invited to submit a covering letter, a detailed CV, and relevant certificates to hrtanzania@perseusmining.com.Company AddressHR Manager, Sotta Mining Corporation Limited, P.O.
