Area Sales Manager - FMCG Industry

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager. This role is crucial for overseeing sales operations within the assigned region, driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, and ensuring a strong market presence for the company’s FMCG products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business targets within the assigned area.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to deliver on set objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor sales performance meticulously and prepare comprehensive regular reports for management.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
  • Identify new business opportunities to expand the company’s market reach and customer base.
  • Ensure the effective execution of trade promotions and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activity, identify market trends, and gather insights.
  • Ensure proper product coverage, efficient distribution, and optimal visibility across the assigned region.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Train, mentor, and support sales staff to continuously enhance their skills and improve overall performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales management, with a strong preference for experience within the FMCG industry.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities are essential.
  • A proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets and driving significant business growth.
  • A deep understanding of FMCG distribution channels and market dynamics.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and leverage insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with sales management software.
